Midland Counties Cross Country Championships

Midland Counties Cross country Championships, Saturday 25th January 2014

Despite the heavy mud, there were no major incidents at the notorious ditch for the athletes who competed at the Midland County Championships at Leamington Spa on Saturday 25th January. It was true cross country conditions with heavy mud making for a testing course.

Despite a depleted squad due to illness and injury, there were some fine results with Neve Grimes (U13g), Alfie Thompson (u15b) and Mari Smith (U17 women) all claiming individual bronze medals with Caelidh Ross (U17 women) just missing out on a medal in 4th place. Ella Shirley finished in 20th place which landed the team with the silver medal.
