Leicester Coritanians in action at CAU Inter Counties

Ben romps home with another title!

Ben Dijkstra won the U15 boys CAU Inter Counties title yesterday at Cofton Park, Birmingham, just two weeks after claiming the English National title. Ben has been in fine form and his win was never in doubt. The confident youngster was representing Leicestershire & Rutland, as were all of the athletes and he made easy work of the tough 4.5k course which he completed in 15.53. The u15b team won the gold medal for Leicestershire & Rutland and another key scorer in the team was Alfie Thompson, whose 19th place in 16.52 saw him as the third scorer for the team.

Jordan Waine finished the U15g race in a fine 24th place which was a huge improvement for her. Her time of 18.09 over the 4k course was pleasing to her and should make her more confident going into the English School's Cross Country Championships next weekend.

In the U13g race, Neve Grimes followed up her fine race at the English National's with a 22nd place. She completed the 3k course in a time of 12.15.
