We are fortunate to have a very strong team of coaches at the club able to offer top quality advice and guidance to athletes of all ages and abilities. They have a wealth of experience gained over many years in the sport and work closely together meeting regularly to discuss policy and future development.

Bill joined the club in 1979 having had a great deal of success at both Youth and Junior level reaching the 800 metres and 1500 metres finals at English Schools and AAAs National Championships. In 1971 he finished 3rd in the 1500 metres at both the English Schools and AAAs events. Two years later he went on to finish 4th as Junior in the AAAs Championships and in 1976 he was a silver medalist at 800 metres in the British Student games . Bill brings to our coaching team a wealth of first hand knowledge and experience of preparing for major track championships. Many of our younger athletes have benfitted greatly from his track 'know-how' finding Bill's advice and encouragement invaluable as they face the challenge of major track championships for the first time.
Bill's personal bests were 1:51 for 800 metres and 3:51 for 1500.
